The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) has earned Rs. 70 million by selling six hundred buses that were in critical condition. The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) said that in May it learned six hundred buses, with their initial seal, that were in critical condition, were put on auction and a profit of Rs. 70 million was earned.
It has been stated that 1,882 buses were put on auction through Cabinet approval and the 600 buses were among those auctioned and the rest will be put on auction in the coming months. The SLTB will utilize the money obtained from the auctioning to buy new buses.
