A prisoner of the Vavuniya prison who was injured in the clashes died today morning after he was admitted to the Ragama hospital, sources said.

The prisoner was transferred to the Mahara prison and then was admitted to the hospital where he died.

The reason of the death is still unknown and the police are conducting further investigations. (Ceylon Today Online)
