Rs. One million rupees robbed

Two thieves on motor cycles had robbed one million rupees from a businessman at the Puliyankulama Junction in the Pallama area on Sunday (08). 

 

According to the police the incident had taken place at the Puliyankulama Junction when the businessman had been stopped by two motorcyclists. The incident had taken place when the businessman had been travelling from Bangadeniya to the Pallama area.

 

The businessman had been identified as 38 year old Dimuthu Wickremasinghe.

According to the  Police media unit  the suspects who had arrived on two motorbikes had obstructed the car,  threatened the businessman  and had taken off with one million out of the four million rupees, which was in the cubby hole of the car around 12.00 noon on Sunday.

So far no arrests had been made. Investigation have been launched into the incident.
