Rainco plants trees at Baseline Railway Station

Rainco (Pvt) Ltd., implemented yet another community project with the concern of protecting the environment, by planting trees at the premises of Baseline Railway Station.

This project was initiated with the concern for a green environment, and Baseline Railway Station was selected to beautify the surrounding and to give natural shade to the platform area during the daytime, once the plants grow into giant trees. At present, this area is exposed to the hot sun all the time and this project will offer great relief to the thousands of railway commuters who use this station, daily.

The planting of saplings was done along the open ground opposite the main platform, after clearing up the jungle like area, which has lain unattended for hundreds of years, and 30 saplings were planted along this stretch. All the saplings will be tended with water and manure, with the kind courtesy of Rainco, under the guidance of a professional horticulturist until the plants are grown into healthier condition to grow on their own, naturally.

The opening ceremony was held on 25 August at the Baseline Railway premises. This event was graced by the presence of chairman of Rainco (Pvt) Ltd., board of directors and senior managers while the General Manager of Railways, senior officials of the department,  Station Master of Baseline Railway Station and his staff were present for the inauguration of this event.

Rainco (Pvt) Ltd., expressed sincere gratitude to the Department of Railways for the support and corporation extended by granting permission to implement this project and also the Station Master and his staff at Baseline Railway Station for providing the necessary support to make this project a success.

Rainco (Pvt) Ltd., also thanks the Management of City Gardens (Pvt) Ltd., for their guidance and assistance by the provision of saplings and planting them at the site.

This coincides with our work themes and policies wherein, we carry out all our business activities in such a way that humanity and the environment is benefited.
