Zigo mobile phones take Sri Lanka by storm

Zigo mobile phones, incorporating state-of-the-art features and a wide range of models was ceremonially launch data a glittering and well-attended ceremony at the Hilton Colombo on 14 June by Serandib Ventures FZC of the United Arab Emirates.

 

Zigo mobile phones stand out among competitive offerings by virtue of their superior technology, user-friendliness, stylish appearance and several ultra-modern features, including easy access to email and surfing the internet through a choice of browsers, as well as social utilities such as Facebook, Twitter and many more social applications. These are sure to make a significant impact on the lifestyle and professional efficiency of Zigo users.

 

While Sri Lanka is already a mature market in terms of a high level of mobile phone penetration as well as the presence of leading international brands, Zigo has mapped out a well thought out strategy for making significant inroads into the market. Addressing the gathering, Thushar Weerasooriya, CEO of ICT and Mobile Technologies for Serandib Ventures FZC, stated that mobile subscription in Sri Lanka is phenomenally growing and 18 Million Sri Lankans are currently having the benefit of a mobile phone. “We implement ICT solutions, Telco solutions, value-added services and other mobile technologies. Sri Lanka is the first step in the onward march of Zigo which is set to make great strides in the mobile phone market across the SAARC region. In next 12 months we are hoping to climb up to the top three mobile brands in Sri Lanka.” Thushar Weerasooriya stated further.

 

The fabulous array from Zigo encompasses the loaded ‘Bar Type’ phones such as B371, L331 and L731, providing basic and essential features. The T551 ‘Touch’ phone which has a variant for the female segment, the Eon 5i ‘Android’ Smart Phone which is the first Dual SIM Android Smart Phone in Sri  Lanka with a ‘colossal’ 4.3 inch screen and the ‘Zigorous’ X711 which comes with detachable keyboards where the phones can be used in its ‘bar’ format or as a touch phone. The Zigo range will soon include Tablet PCs like ‘Nebula’, which are the rage among the trendy and techno-savvy.

 

Zigo offers a portfolio of products catering to all customer demographic segments and offers ‘Value for Money’ with devices that look and feel great. These devices come with state-of-the-art technology and Zigo will introduce devices that cater to customer demand assuring quality, durability and reliability. A noteworthy aspect of Zigo mobile phones and Table PCs will be their competitive pricing, while boasting features which are comparable with or even better than similar offerings from other international brands. This makes Zigo mobile phones highly desirable among large segments of the market that could access the latest advances in technology. Preethi Kanakarathne, Marketing Consultant for Sri Lanka, said they will be moving into every aspect of mobile technology to thrive our economy using quality products with zero defects.

 

Zigo mobile phones are distributed by CellCity Lanka Private Limited which has 16 years of industry experience and is also an ISO certified company. Upul Fernando, Managing director of CellCity, said they will work through its established wide network of dealers around the country, thereby making the phones highly accessible while also offering a reliable after-sales service and a dedicated customer support hotline which customers could count on. Also present in the function was Abdul A.N.Alnajdi, Deputy Head of Operations for Middle East.
