Sri Lankan batsman Kumar Sangakkara is almost at the doorstep of a place in the starting line-up for the World T-20 after recovering from a hand injury he sustained nearly six weeks ago.
Sangakkara has been batting at the nets for the past week and indications point to the south paw taking his place in the playing eleven one week from now.
“Kumar (Sangakkara) is getting along well and buzzing the coaches for extra net sessions. He is okay and we are happy about it”, said Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardena.
