Animals have instinct. We give our pet dog a name and he soon learns to come, when his name is called. Dogs have been with man from the earliest civilizations. Cats were worshipped by the ancient Egyptians. But there are clear limits to animal intelligence.

One supposes it is called the common cold because mostly everyone gets it at one time or another. I mean the head cold. There are the head cold and the chest cold.
