Between the thousands of photos you've snapped over the years and your massive music library, you're bound to reach your phone's storage capacity sooner or later. Some Android devices offer flexible options that allow you to manage your content and clear space fairly easily.

Many Android phones, including the Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5, support expandable storage. That means these phones come with a slot for inserting an SD card, which you can use to store files and media that won't fit on your device's built in storage.

But not every Android phone includes this option. If your phone doesn't include an SD card slot, or if you need a quick fix and don't want to purchase an SD card, there are a few things you can do to free up your phone's storage. The two most effective ways to do this are by are deleting apps and media you no longer need and by backing up content you'd like to save but don't need to have readily available on your phone. The video above will walk you through steps for accomplishing both of those things.

It's also important to note that each Android phone has a different user interface, so the settings and options on your phone might not look like those shown in the video.
