Last Man Stands Sri Lanka (LMSSL) is pleased to announce the Last Man Stands Sri Lanka Race to Cape Town 2017 tournament will start on 27 August 2017 and registration is now open. The champions will receive one of the biggest cash prizes in Sri Lanka amateur cricket history, which is estimated to be close upon Rs 2.5 million. This massive prize includes return air fare to Cape Town, South Africa, fully paid 4 star- accommodation with breakfast, team registration fee and the Last Man Stands shirts. Runners-up of the tournament will go home with a cash prize of Rs 100,000 states a press release from Singer.

Around 60 teams are expected to participate in the tournament. Heshan Flexi won the championship three times in a row
The semi-finals and finals are scheduled to be played on 24 September 2017 at Army grounds Mattegoda from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Finals will be live streamed on Batsman.com.

The champions will participate at the Last Man Stands World Championship in Cape Town, South Africa from 9-16 December 2017.

LMS was introduced to Sri Lanka in 2016. Since then it has gradually become popular among amateur cricket players in Sri Lanka.
