Konavil-East villagers hit by water shortage

The People living in the Konavil-East village in Kilinochchi are facing a drinking water shortage. They complain that drinking water provided by Konavil Pradeshiya Sabha is inadequate. Public and private wells in the village have dried up due to the drought.

Private lands within the High Security Zone, in Iranaitheevu, Kilinochchi, will be released to their owners after the lands are surveyed and the rightful owners are identified on 9 October.
