47th Sir John Tarbet Championship Ladies Makes History

CT Sports: Ladies College Colombo made history last week at Embilipitiya winning the girls' overall championship for the first time in the history in the 47th Sir John Tarbet Junior Athletics Championship 2016.
Sarisha Gunasekara was the star for Ladies as she clinched two gold medals which was the only two golds for ladies during the championship. Sarisha won the under 15 girls shot put with new meet record of 11.31m before winning the gold medal in the discus throw.

Ladies collected 48 points to become the champion girls' school beating St. Bridget's Convent (41 points) and Gateway College Colombo (33 points). Apart from that Ladies also won the girls under 15 champions trophy. Ladies College is coached by former South Asian Games medalist, Priyantha Thanthirige and AR Jayakody.
