SSC on verge of being Champions

Table leader Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) is on the verge of becoming league champions in the SLC Premier League Tournament 2016/17 as their closest rivals, Chilaw Marians are about to lose their final encounter to Ragama CC at Colts ground yesterday.

Chasing 188 to win Ragama CC were 114 for 1 at close and will only have 74 runs to get on the last day with nine wickets in hand.

SSC lead the table now with four wins in four matches with 67.735 points as they beat CCC in just two days on their final league game.

Sahan Nanayakkara of Ragama CC took 7 wickets for 92 runs in the second innings against Chilaw Marians CC.

In the other matches of the week NCC beat Army SC by 176 runs at FTZ Katunayake finishing it on the third day.

Other two matches will be continued today.
