A total of 22,905 persons have applied for this year's Korean Language Proficiency Examination.
Applications were received on the 14, 15, 16, and 17 of March at 19 centres Islandwide.
The highest number of applications was received at the Tangalle Emigrant Resources Training Centre of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE).

In addition, 3,102 applications were received at the SLFBE Centre in Galle, 2917 at the Athurugiriya National Plantation Management Institution, 2,403 at the Ratnapura SLBFE Centre and 2107 at the Kandy SLBFE Centre.
At the same time, the least number of applications(05) were received at the Jaffna SLBFE Centre. In the year 2016, there were a total of 26,139 applications.

The venues and times for holding the examination which will be marked on a system of evaluation will be notified later. In the meantime further details can be obtained from the website www.slbfe.lk. This time's examination is being conducted for job opportunities arising in the production and fishing sectors only.
