Chairman of the Japan-Sri Lanka Parliamentary Friendship Society (JSLPFS) Wataru Takeshita says Japan and Sri Lanka should further consolidate their decades-old friendship and reiterated the JSLPFS objective to back Sri Lanka's development activities.

Speaking at a luncheon hosted in honour of the visiting Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and his delegation, Takeshita said the JSLPFS will dedicate itself to further strengthen the ties that exist between the Parliaments of the two nations besides helping Sri Lanka on several development fronts.

The luncheon was held at the Okura Hotel in Tokyo where the attendees posed for a photo shoot.
