‘Singer Cup’ U-17 Div.I Cricket St. Servatius advance to final

An all round performance by Shashika Dulshan (51 runs and a hat-trick), helped St. Servatius College Matara to advance to the final of the 'Singer Cup' Under 17 division I inter schools cricket tournament yesterday, when they beat Nalanda College Colombo by 11 runs in the semi final played at Moors ground Colombo.

St. Servatius were bowled out 206 runs in 49.3 overs. Skipper Keshara Nuwantha scored 70 in 77 balls with 8 boundaries and a six. Deputy skipper Shashika Dulshan scored 51 runs in 95 balls with 6 boundaries. Keshara and Shashika put on partnership of 117 runs for the 5th wicket. Janith Jayarathne took 3/23. Warsha Ananda and Jayod Caldera took 2 wickets each. Nalanda were bowled out for 195 runs in 45.3 overs. Deputy skipper Sachitha Gunathilake scored an unbeaten 66 in 82 balls with 6 boundaries.

Chamindu Wijesinghe and Rusara Banuka scored 32 runs each. Shashika Dulshan took 4/21 inclusive of a hat-trick. Naveen Sahith took 3/32.
