Sri Lanka once again lost the plot after a relatively better start in the must win third ODI against Pakistan played at Abu Dhabi yesterday.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss Sri Lanka were 123 for 3 after 30 overs with skipper Tharanga once again scoring a half century. Chamara Kapugedara and Lahiru Thirimanne were unbeaten at the wicket.

Sri Lanka made two changes, bringing in Chamara Kapugedera and paceman Dushmantha Chameera in place of Kusal Mendis and Suranga Lakmal.

Sri Lanka batting had a dismal appearance at the fall of Dinesh Chandimal who looked ruffled in his stroke making abilities and fell victim to youngster Shadab Khan once again.

Pakistan also made two changes. Ahmed Shehzad was kept out and in his place debutant Imam ul Haq, nephew of chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq was brought in and Imad Wasim has been sidelined in favour of Faheem Ashraf.

If Pakistan wins they seal the series 3-0 and it will be Sri Lanka's tenth defeat. Shadab Khan has taken two of the three wickets which fell.

Sri Lanka chief score 138/4 in 34 overs ( Dickwella 18, Tharanga 61, Chandimal 19, Kapugedera 18, Thirimanne n.o. 14 – Hasan Ali 2/17, Shadab Khan 2/26)
