Havelock Sports Club will take on Navy Sports Club in their third match of the Dialog Rugby League match to be played at the Navy grounds in Welisara today. Havelock Sports Club won the two games they played in the first and second weeks of the Dialog Rugby League.

They beat Police easily in the first week winning 36-0 and that gave them a bonus points. In the second week they beat Air Force 46-23.

Havelocks playing very aggressive and fearless rugby were able to score heavily with so many tries against Air Force Sports Club and Police Sports Club. Kevin Dixon, Havies wing three quarter (last year he played as a full back) is in excellent form scoring two tries against Air Force while getting one in the Police game and is playing well for them becoming a certain starter in the Havelocks fifteen this season.

Prasad Madushanka also scored tries in the first two games playing as a hooker. He scored heavily last season and should continue in that vein to score more tries this season too for Havelocks.

Navy will depend on hooker Dulanjana Wijesinghe who scored heavily last season also being a senior player should help him shoulder more responsibility for the Navy SC. They beat Army SC in the first match before losing to CR and FC last week. Captain Danushka Perera will also be an important cog in their wheel. He has represented Sri Lanka on several occasions and his experience is important for the Navy team.

Navy backs must be equal to the task and score tries if they want to beat their opponents since the Havelocks backs are in very good form having scored many tries in the last two weeks. Navy being unable to score a lot through their back division is a problem for them.

Navy will not be favourites although they play at home, but Havelocks will have to put in an extra effort and play better to win this game at Welisara.
