Air Force SC and Police SC both will be clashing with the hopes of their first wins of the season when they meet in the third match of Dialog Rugby League at Air Force grounds in Ratmalana today.

Air Force with a slight edge at 6-3 during half time had a great chance to win their first match against CR and FC, but they were overturned and beaten by CR in the second half winning with a score of 21 points to 9.

In their second match Air Force lost 46-23 to Havelock Sports Club, but they will take some confidence out of that match.

Gayantha Iddamalgoda is a good player and performed well last season, so he could be the man for Air Force looking at on their own backyard.

Police haven't played well either so far this season. They were beaten badly by Havelock SC 36-0 on the first day of the tournament. They being unable to put any score on the board could have destroyed their confidence.

Police also lost their second match to Kandy where they struggled badly. They need to perform better this season if they are to make any impact.

Air Force is definitely the favourites to win this game because they have played better rugby although they lost both games. They have dangerous players in the backline and they might be too good for the Policemen.

Kandy host Army

Kandy SC will take on Army SC in their League match at Nittawela today.

Kandy won both their games beating CH and FC first and then Police SC in the second week.

Kandy back line will be led by senior players like Nigel Ratwatte, Fazil Marija, Dhanushka Ranjan, Richard Dharmapala and Gayan Weeraratne.

Army in a good battle lost to Navy in the first week, but they beat CH in the second week which was a great win for them. Army will rely on their place kicker Gayan Salinda who scored most points last week and their forwards too have been performing well.

Kandy will be a very difficult side to beat at home and Army will surely be the underdogs at the Nittawela ground today.
