CR & FC will be the favourites against Police Sports Club during their league rugby match which will be at Longdon Place today.

CR & FC lost their last game to Havelock Sports Club. It was a very close game, which CR eventually lost 35-30. In that match wing three quarter Riza Raffaideen scored a great try for CR.

He is the player in form for CR & FC as he also scored in the previous game too. Raffaideen is a product of Kingswood College and has also represented the Sri Lanka junior team as well as the senior team. Before coming to CR he played one season for Police Sports Club.

Tharinda Ratwatte switch to fly half again. He is doing a great job in his new position. In the last game he put over three conversions and two penalties. CR is fortunate to have him.

Omalka Gunaratne is also in good form. He plays as number eight and has the ability to go for tries. He captained Isipathana College and then captained the Sri Lanka junior team. He has also represented the national team.

Police Sports Club fought well in the last game against Army Sports Club, but Army who is in super form held their nerve to beat Police.

Considering their rich history it's a shame Police have been unable to win a game so far. They used to be a very strong team in the 80s and 90s, but they are struggling with their current crop of players.

CR & FC will go out as favourites to win the game and Police will have a tough time holding them back. But rugby games have produced shocking results recently and Police will fancy their chances against the strong CR team in today's game.
