A night of comedy

A set of four original comedy skits, performed by a group of medical professionals who are no strangers to the stage, is scheduled to take place at the Punchi Theatre in Borella on 13 and 14 January 2018. These skits are written, directed and produced by Dr. Chitranga Kariyawasan who is a Consultant Haematologist at Sri Jayawardenepura General Hospital and Dr. Isha Prematilleke who is a Senior Lecturer and Consultant Histopathologist at the Medical Faculty of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The actors include Dr. Sankha Randenikumara, a general physician and alumnus of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and Madhusha Liyanage, Tharindu Wickremasinghe and Sachith Francis who are medical students of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. The event compere is Kalani Kulathilake, who is also a medical student of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Not only will you be experiencing a night of comedy, there will also be musical items during the intermissions, with the Old Museites Choir and a Hindi dance item on 13 January, and Flame providing music on 14 January.

This event is being held in aid of the Hemophilia Association of Sri Lanka, a registered charity. The Hemophilia Association of Sri Lanka was set up in order to facilitate the thousands of hemophilia patients in Sri Lanka and it is the national organization for bleeding disorders and provides advocacy, education, and support to Hemophilia patients.
