Host New Zealand under-19s beat defending champions West Indies under-19s by 8 wickets in their fixture of the 12th ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup played at Bay Oval Mount Maunganui, Tauranga yesterday.

Zimbabwe beat Kenya by 10 wickets at Lincoln.

Finn Allen of New Zealand scored an unbeaten 115 runs in 100 balls inclusive of 15 boundaries and 2 sixes. He was the first centurion in this edition. Finn Allen and opener Jakob Bhula (83) put on 163 runs for the second wicket.

At Bay Oval Mount Maunganui Tauranga. New Zealand won by 8 wickets.
