DWC, Police & Armed Forces unite National plan to tackle wildlife related crimes

An action plan was launched yesterday (16), to carry out joint operations between the Department of Wildlife Conservation (DWC), Police officers and Security Forces to protect wildlife and conserve the wild elephant population in the country.
The DWC stated that the plan was introduced in order to understand the geographical location of the reserves and other basic facts and to identify possible wildlife crimes which could occur in the relevant areas.
