‘Singer Cup’ U-19 Cricket Gurukula home for lunch

Gurukula College Kelaniya beat St. Joseph Vaz College Wennappuwa by an innings and 14 runs before lunch on day two in their 'Singer Cup' Under 19 Inter Schools Cricket Tournament fixture played at Prison Ground Mahara yesterday. St. Anthony's College Katugastota recorded their 6th win of this season when they beat Sri Jayawardhanapura MV Kotte by an innings and 103 runs at CMS Kotte.

D.S. Senanayake College Colombo, St. John's College Jaffna, St. Thomas College Matale and Sri Rahula College Katugastota won their matches against Dharmasoka College Ambalangoda, Kegalu Vidyalaya, Devapathiraja College Rathgama and Sandalanka Central College. Other matches were drawn.

Skipper Dellon Peiris of S. Thomas' Mt. Lavinia passed 50 wickets milestone this season. So far he has taken 52 wickets for 561 runs with a best 7/23 against Prince of Wales Moratuwa.
